Japan Study Center Welcomes Inaugural Undergraduate Batch for Japan Studies

In a historic milestone for Daffodil International University (DIU), the Japan Study Center (JSC) officially welcomed its inaugural batch of undergraduate students for the Japan Studies program. The launch ceremony was held at the main campus in Dhaka, attended by representatives from the Embassy of Japan, DIU faculty members, and key stakeholders from academia and business.

The program is designed as a holistic initiative to familiarize students with the Japanese economic model, culture, management style, and scientific advancements. As Japan continues to seek skilled international professionals to support its demographic transitions, JSC aims to serve as the premier pipeline of talent from Bangladesh.

Dr. Masahiro Yamamoto, a visiting scholar, delivered the keynote address emphasizing the deep-rooted ties between Bangladesh and Japan. 'This academic cohort represents more than just students; they are future cultural ambassadors and business bridge-builders between our two nations,' he stated.

Students enrolled in this program will undergo intensive Japanese language training (aiming for JLPT N3/N2 proficiency upon graduation), combined with courses in Japanese history, corporate culture, work ethics, and technical skill development. The Center is fully equipped with state-of-the-art classrooms, a specialized reference library, and multimedia resources to support students throughout their academic journey.
